Glennda Testone, the new executive director of the LGBT Community Center of New York, is perhaps the youngest new leader in what seems to me to be the changing face of our movement.
The news of Testone's appointment rippled through the gay blogosphere earlier this month, and last week we had a chance to have the first (and I'm sure not the last) in depth interview with her.
When we made the appointment, Glennda thought we were going to do a written interview, so she was a little taken aback when Megan and I turned up with the video camera. Given the fact we caught her off guard I think she more than handily managed the interview, leaving me with the distinct impression she's got a bright future at the Center.

No one else has said it...
so I will: She's cute! And smart and thoughtful. All the things I look for in an, um, executive director.
Won't you be my neighbor? @theKELword
Feeling old today
Okay, between Glennda and the rather precocious editor of AfterEllen who's stepping down I'm suddenly feeling very old...

Cool interview. I like the
Cool interview. I like the idea of focusing on people rather than issues. In the end the people are the issue anyhow I suppose. She seems to have a clear grasp of "the issues" as well.
Clear heads and open minds
This gives me hope for the future of our community.
