Oh good lord, I don't think there's such a thing as 'of all time.'
Super-duper busy, and got behind in reading, and I tend to be rather all-or-nothing about VP--I'm really bad at doing the 'occasional' thing if time doesn't permit.  Definitely missed it though... I'm also WAY behind in my NYTimes columnists reading, so you're in good company!   p.s....
BAHAHAHA!  I think we should DEMAND that they use Arianna's voice for the You've Got Mail greeting! (And ditto on the aol account, though I have a gmail--I just don't use it.)
Hmm...I didn't see Annette's character as butch, nor Julianne as particularly femme.  To me Nic's controlling nature stemmed in large part from her superior earning power as a doctor vis a vis Jules' relative lack of career and failed business ventures.  And that seemed pretty darn...
Amy, thanks for this--awesome range.  I dig 'em all!  (well, maybe except for the Cute Overload one...)
I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to movies--have to see most things on the big screen, and with an audience.  Fortunately I live right around the corner from an awesome indie theatre (actually, not 'fortunately'--I purposely chose to live in this hood because of it!)
Oh good lord, I'm embarrassed to say I just spent about half an hour looking for that damn button--is it new?  Now I'm off to actually READ the thing....
Hmm...maybe that's why I haven't seen any films lately--and here I thought it was just because I had no time!   Actually, I just came from seeing Love and Other Drugs, which was pretty meh, despite the fact that I love Jake and Anne.  The script was just too predictable, which surprised...
Mickey, thanks for your review of the review.  I'm a bit behind on my reading and might have missed this, but caught your comment on the sidebar and totally agree--this got me pumped to go see it.
Welcome home Tiff!!
Bummer about the DREAM Act, Mins...
Woo-hoo!!!  Waiting for John McCain's head to explode! p.s. this wouldn't have happened without those dang tax cuts...
Interestingly enough, the book for this show is supposedly HORRIBLE and within a month of opening they are desperately trying to script-doctor it.  Most of the money has gone to the technical side of the production, trying to do stuff in the the theater that is better left to film--or the...
Bufffet is giving away 99% of his wealth (I believe Gates is doing the same) and has lived in the same house, in Omaha, that he purchased for $31,000 way back when... And the initiative Robin refers to below is the Giving Pledge, and Bloomberg and Ellison (and Rockefeller and Turner) have committed...
Wowee, what a treat!  MORE, please, Diana   p.s.  Dying laughing:  "I want you to want me...I need you to need me..."
Yes, Robin, it definitely started under Reagan, but as far as the banks go, the worst stuff happened under Clinton, including the repeal of Glass Steagall.  When I did the research for my Brooksley Born piece I was shocked at how Clinton completely ignored her concerns and bowed down to the '...
PK, I didn't call the whole deal a 'victory,' nor do I feel that way.  I think ALL the tax cuts should expire, but guess what?  The majority of Americans don't agree with me.  And yes, it's those tax cuts that have in part bankrupted the country.  So what did the American people...
Just a reminder, DeeDee:  Clinton gave us DADT, DOMA, NAFTA, and threw poor people under the bus in welfare 'reform.'  Not to mention that all this financial de-regulation started with him.  The only major thing he did of any merit was balance the budget.  After that, he did the...
There will be another vote--if, and when, the tax bill is passed, and then there will supposedly be enough votes to pass it...
Unemployment benefits return on average about $1.60 for every dollar spent, which makes it one of the most stimulative things gov't can do for the economy.  The Rethugs have previously only approved wimpy 2 and 3 month extensions--13 months is a big victory.
