Yup, I'd already read her--thought it was a good column.  I guess I should learn from what's already transpired and just withhold judgement until EVERYTHING is on the table.  It's likely, however, that that won't ultimately happen because there's just no way this can go to trial.  ...
I don't think the pot-friend is what's torpedoing the case.  Sounds like the woman hasn't been truthful about ANYTHING, and I have to say I no longer believe there was any assault.  I also think this false accusation couldn't have happened to a nicer guy--karmically DSK got what he...
This will probably sound blasphemous, but I think I'd trade marriage rights for a ban on fracking.  Of course I don't actually want to get married, but I DO like to drink water.  WTF could he be thinking?  Who paid him off?  One of the things I didn't like about how the marriage...
Thanks for the link!  I did some searching too and had a blast looking at previous doodles... If you'll note in the CNN article, and another one from CBS, which stressed it even more, the doodle appeared when 'Pride-related' material was searched, not LGBT vocab. I think that's an important...
June 27 just got a whole lot more special (said in my best ChurchLady voice). Happy Birthday JW!   (doing a little superior dance for you!)
Tae, where's the doodle?  I don't see it on my searches, but maybe it's THAT discreet....
The NYTimes article was fascinating--just the kind of inside 'skinny' I was looking for.  Kudos to Cuomo and his organizational skills, though it doesn't reflect too well on the gay community's lack of coordination.  And does anyone else feel a bit queasy that the Republican reps '...
YAY!!!  That long arc of history just 'bent' toward justice!! p.s. I believe the governor signed the bill in Albany, not at the Stonewall, though revelers there watched the proceedings on tv.
"I just have one question, will Dan Choi chain himself to Whoopi tonight?" BAHAHAHA!
I think the original team exhausted their combined imagination at about Episode 4...of Season 1.
Great news!  Maybe I'll actually start watching again--it's no longer must-see tv for me because of the circular plot lines/character arcs.  And I'm thrilled to see six writers get jobs--producers always think they can write, but we writers (and audiences) know better.
Hot stuff Grace!  Congrats on an awesome performance that I hope is just the first of many. p.s. and here I thought I wrote good emails!
Can't help but think: only the good die young.  My deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved her.
Just the mention of her name makes me smile.
Stein's always been an ass, but how can someone in the 21st century say "how can a woman be forced to have oral sex against her will if there's no gun?"  Is this part of that new definition of rape that ReThugs came up with?   And what an outrage to say she was suddenly so 'unintimidated...
Grace, I think Paul Krugman might take a bit of an exception to your economist/rapist theory...
Now that you mention it--yup!
Grace, I did, and in general I liked him more than previously, and certainly more than after reading the Times profile. Much of his dialogue with Letterman, who played a kind of confused everyman, was just basic education about differences between gender and sexual orientation. Only towards the end...
For anyone interested, Chaz is slated to be on Letterman tonight. Who do you think will be more obnoxious?
Really good point in that last line, and one I've been victim of.  I may be loquacious on the page, but in person I tend to be more reserved, and yes, in the past that has led some to conclude I'm 'aloof' or, less generously, a snobby bitch.  I don't in any way consider that reticence a '...
