After everyone's favorite underdog, Susan Boyle came in second place in the finale of Britain's Got Talent, she was so emotionally exhausted that she checked in to a The Priory Clinic that deals with everything from alcohol and drug rehab to mental illness.

It's overwhelming for any person to be so suddenly thrust into the media spotlight (or so I've learned from episodes of E! True Hollywood Story), but it must have been especially intense for Susan who, before the show, lived alone in a small town with her cat and barely socialized with anyone. Susan was an overnight sensation when she sang a goose-bump-inducing rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Miserables that anyone with a computer has seen. Shockingly, a dance troupe called Diversity (Seriously, they couldn't come up with a more clever name?) took first place.

Poor Susan! She wasn't ready to be a celebrity; she just wanted to surprise the world her amazing voice, and she did. Let's hope she has a speedy recovery and has an opportunity for a relaxing retreat after all of this. Luckily for her, her 15 minutes of fame will soon be up.
