A vote of 89 (including 5 Republicans!) to 52 has passed in the New York State Assembly in favor of gay marriage! The vote now goes to the Senate. Contact your senators, keep your fingers crossed and New York might become the sixth state to approve gay marriage!

And if you live in the New York City area, a rally is being planned for Sunday evening from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at 45th Street and 6th Avenue.  Audra McDonald, Cheyenne Jackson, Cynthia Nixon, David Hyde Pierce, Kristin Davis, Senator Tom Duane, Assemblyman Daniel O'Donnell and the cast of Hair are all planning to be there!
