2 July: The Monday Mix: Catch Up on Yer Culture
Greetings, bois & grrlz! While your esteemed Head Editrix Marcie Bianco is on vacation, I'll be filling in to make sure you don't fall behind the times on all your juicy queer news this week. It may be a hot sweaty mess out there, but there are still gay things happening!
Anderson Cooper came out today, causing some amount of confusion among the 99% of Americans who thought he was out already. But, regardless, it's always nice to see someone come out with class and panache: "The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud." Rock on, brother. We are proud to have you on our team, officially!

In the Life Media's latest conversation screening features America’s Next Top Model’s first transgender contestant, Isis King, sitting down with People.com staff editor and transgender advocate, Janet Mock, for a conversation about representations of transgender people in media. Not to be missed!
In slightly more frivolous news, our favorite Unholy Trinity of Cheerios swept the top 3 on AfterEllen's Hot 100 this year, making our homegirl Naya Rivera the first to take the number one spot two years in a row. I'm having a hard time saying anything more about this other than "Marry me, Dianna Agron!" So, let's just look at some pretty pictures instead.

If you're worried that Heather Morris's feelings might be hurt at having her number two spot usurped by the other lady-lovin' blondie in that Cheerio sandwich, fear not-- she's got plenty to keep her busy over her summer vacation. Check out this LOL-worthy video featuring Morris as Bella Cullen in a Twilight parody. (The whole thing's pretty funny...but skip to 4:55 if you're only interested in the HeMo). We could just watch this all day.
