Dirty Looks NYC, a program which presents various film screenings around the city, recently succeeded in funding their $14,000 kickstarter project. Spearheaded by project director Bradford Nordeen, the fundraising effort concluded on June 2nd and was supported by more than 270 financial backers online. The proposed (and now soon to be happening!) project is titled "Dirty Looks: On Location," and consists of a month-long program of "queer interventions in NYC." Throughout July 2012, "On Location" will present film and video works in queer social spaces, aiming to trace "the lineage of queer tactics and visual styles for younger artists, casual viewers and seasoned avant-garde film-goers, alike." (Quote from the Dirty Looks website). With June being Pride Month and July having this series of daily queer interventions, New York is gushing rainbows this summer.   

Curators of the program include Paul Dallas, Sarvia Jasso, Bryce Renninger, Todd Shalom, Jake Yuzna, and more.
