It's 6/6/12 ... 6+6=12—surely that must mean something?

While I leave you to ponder that fine puzzle, let me present the glorious winners of "This Week Belongs To":

> Venus. The second planet from the Sun is in transit and yesterday, for a handful of hours, could be seen by the (carefully shielded) human eye as passing in front of the Sun. Venus won't eclipse the Sun again until 2017—then you'll have to wait 105 years to see it happen again. For astro-minded types, this transit signals the reawakening of the Divine Feminine, which symbolically represents the (re)awakening of our hearts...to give and to receive love, to be compassionate, and so forth. 

> Monday night's Lammy Winners, particulary the Feminist Press, who went 2-for-2 with wins for "Lesbian Debut Fiction" (Laurie Weeks' Zipper Mouth) and "Transgender Nonfiction" (Mx. Justin Vivian Bond's Tango). I can say without the slightest bit of pomp or pretense that Fp will will a third when they (agree to publish) my memoir on how I slept my way through graduate school...or something like that.

> (To keep on the literary theme), The Bureau of General Services—Queer Division Bookstore/Cafe which announced, via fancy paper flyers handed out to Lammy attendees (myself included) that it is "scouting for a space in Manhattan"—meaning that NYC will get a LGBT bookstore once again! (Oscar Wilde Bookstore closed its doors in 2009.) BGS-Queer Division will launch its website (bgsqd.com) on 24 June 2012. Yay!

> Grace Jones, for hula-hooping through the entire performance of "Slave to the Rhythm" during Queen Elizabeth II's Jubilee Celebration. Jones is 64 years-old, if you want to be wowed a bit more by this fact. (You can watch the entire performance HERE.)

> And Mary Edna González, who last week (technically before the beginning of the "Humpday Week"), won the Democratic primary for House District 75 Representative, making history as she became the only openly gay state lawmaker in Texas and the first woman to represent El Paso's eastern Lower Valley in the state House. With no Republican opposition in the general election, she is set to become the second open LGBT legislator in Texas's history.
