Like Who Are These Nut Jobs Talking To?

I'm horrified and stupefied by this clip from Rachel Maddow's show last night. I don't care who or what you worship. What the hell you say in private to your selected God is entirely up to you. You can worship horse shit for all I care. But seriously, you wanna know why there needs to be a separation of church and state? This is the reason:

Fuckin hilarious!  Lunatics.

Fuckin hilarious!  Lunatics.  This is NOTHING though - look up "Bohemian Grove," during which our leaders worship a huge-ass owl statue.

Whenever people start talking like this I hear that calliope music they play in cartoons whenever they're carting one of the characters off to the looney bin.

Replay that clip, but with this video opened in another window:

Are those politicians really

Are those politicians really gullible enough to buy into that circus?  Or are they pretending to do so for money and votes?  I'm not sure which is the scarier possibility.

AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

that's one of the scariest things i've ever seen.  do you see that guy with the moustache rocking back and forth like a lunatic?

all of their opposing arguments are ludicrous.  what is wrong with these people?  they are all mentally ill.  and some of them are senators?  i'm going to go throw up now.  excuse me.

Yes, because saying that they

Yes, because saying that they don't want their personal beliefs trampled on in a public forum and doing that exact thing to minorities makes perfect sense. What a stunning display of coherency and rationality.

Don't forget about the

Don't forget about the Christian f'tards who regularly prayed for the death of "liberal" Supreme Court Justices when the ReThugs held the White House.

Edited to add: I feel the same way about Muslim, Jewish, etc., f'tards who pray to a higher being for the defeat of their perceived enemies.

Welcome to the show!

It's a three ringed circus, complete with clowns, freaks, and predatory animals, all there to please their audience.

Their phony proselytizing, combined with prayers asking for something totally contrary to the teachings of Jesus, demonstrate clearly that these hypocrites are no more Christian than al Qaeda is Islamic.  They are, in fact, our own homegrown Taliban.

Ohhh, that Michele Bachmann again! She is an embarrassment to our state.

I don't care if they pray. But when they pray and grandstand, they are only self-serving.

Thanks Rusty (and Minnie below)!  Even if the White House doesn't want to kneecap him, I'm glad some Dems are letting him know he is now Public Enemy #1 (he can go cry to his buddy McCain).

The senator, who McCain wouldn't give 30 seconds, was Senator Mark Dayton from Minnesota. What goes around comes around, hah!

Can't locate a link

I heard someone mention it on Minnesota Public Radio this morning when I was sipping my coffee. Maybe it was on NPR's Morning Edition. I took a quick look, I couldn't find the segment that mentioned it. It was just a quick snippet. They said Franken, who was running a session/meeting, cut off Lieberman when his time was up speaking.

Civility is not a sign of weakness.

Yeah, caught this one

It definitely challenges one's personal faith when they see others who cliam to be of the same faith pulling a hair-brained  stunt like this.

It's time to end the misnamed "Faith Based Initiative," and to end the tax exemptions of such groups as these.

Grace Moon's picture

like seriously

this is Christian Jihad...

lets call it like it is, extreme religious terrorism within our country.

tweet tweet @gracemoon

CA_Medicine_Woman's picture

Bingo!

I couldn't agree more if I tried, that is precisely what they are, religious extremist terrorists.  What makes them worse than those we are fighting is this: our homegrown terrorists actually want to bring about chaos and the end of the world, which they see as their duty in order to force Jesus to return in their lifetime.  They actually believe that in doing so, God will reward them with wealth beyond their wildest dreams, and absolute power over all creation (not just the universe, but the entire multiverse).

Of course, Jesus never taught these things, but that doesn't matter to end-timer dominionists who believe in a doctrine of prosperity, because they don't actually follow anything the Bible says anyway (they just apply their twisted interpretation of it to others).
