TRMS: Uganda's Anti-Homosexuality Bill

Last night Rachel Maddow interviewed David Bahati, member of Parliament in Uganda, author of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill. Back in May, Adrian Brune wrote an article on vp about him and his anti-gay crusade.

He was also featured on Current TV's Vanguard Series. Bahatis Anti-Homosexuality Bill was killed before it was past in its first form because the Uganda government was scared of loosing their international aid and support from the United Nations. Here is the interview Bahati did with Maddow.

Part One:

Part two:

Also if you want to watch the Vangurad series episode about the Anti-Homosexuality Bill below.

Do you think Maddow should have had given Bahati the time she did?

...

The Vanguard piece was pretty insane - thanks for posting that. So...is his goal eradicate the gays or to get Oprah and Tiger Woods to bow before the people of Uganda?  Confused.

By this guy's logic

everyone that sins, in any way, should be locked up for life/executed.

When are people going to stop using religion as a shield for their prejudice?

This

is the craziest MotherF*ck*r I've ever heard!

I love the Maddow shreds his argument about children being "recruited" by a 15 million dollar gay campagin.

This is madness.

Did Maddow miss the memo? The General Assembly of the UN voted protections against execution for homosexuality out of the Human Rights Charter weeks ago. The international community is divided on this issue and Bhati's side is kind of winning.

Strange reporting, yet again.

Unfortunately she didn't ask...

Unfortunately, Ms. Maddow did not ask the question or pursue the direction I would have liked, which is, shouldn't children be protected from all predators, especially those who practice genocide?  Isn't that much more of a clear and present danger?

There's a thin line...still...

Hmm...

I wonder if we could work an adult angle on that and have an antidote to unemployment in the queer community? Oh wait, that brings us back to the Chicken Ranch.  Smile
