Tonight’s Full Moon

Tonight’s Full Moon

Tonight's Full Moon at 21 Cancer, links back to the New Moon of July 2007.  New Moons seed energies which reveal themselves at the Full Moon. (This happens monthly and over a larger 2 1/2 year cycle as well.)

You may have been in the midst of some challenge or begun a new project/romance/job/search last summer that now has reached a culmination point.

What had you started back then?

It may have been born of disillusionment, from realizing that no one was going to rescue you from your job, your relationship, your finances. Hopefully you got busy and started moving toward what you wanted, on your own terms. If you DIDN'T begin something new, now is the time to see what in your life you would like to change and get to work manifesting it.  And if you need an adjustment or course correction, this is the perfect time to make the necessary shift.

With Mercury going retrograde tomorrow for the next three weeks,  the universe will send you messages in the forms of ideas, brainstorms, conversations that can get you back on track.  And, as always with the retrograde cycle, old friends, lovers, colleagues will be "checking in" to reveal to you how much you've grown.

This is just a setup for the incoming eclipses end of January and mid February which will really get the ball rolling and bring in karmic events/messages/people to move your life forward on its destined path.  All you need to do is pay attention!

Patrice, you are so right

Patrice, you are so right about mercury.

I bumped into a woman who i worked with 8 years ago randomly on the street. fortunately it was someone I enjoyed and was glad to reconnect with.

and then I got an email from someone who worked with me just a year ago to check in and see how things are.

Well, I think it's more that

Well, I think it's more that something comes to fruition and light but you are still able to make adjustments. I think the closure will come at the end of the 2 1/2 years (from 2007).

Also depends on what degree/s your Cancer planets/points are . . .if it's your ascendent/descendent axis, it could be relationship-based or even a new way of presenting yourself.

The biggie events, I think, will be when the eclipses start moving into Cancer/Capricorn as they will this summer. And there will be a beginning solar eclipse at 25 Capricorn in January 2010 and one at 19 Cancer in July 2010, close enough to this Full Moon to link up energy-wise.

As an example, my event was putting together my relationship website. I didn't actually launch it until Sept. 07 but was working on the content all summer. Now I'm looking to see where I will take it, how I will improve upon it, is it still viable, etc. But the summer of 2007 was the seeding of this venture.

Okay, past my bedtime. Be well!

i appreciate the geekiness!
i looked up in my journal to see where i was at on july 14, 2007... don't quite get the connection, except in a general way.
now i'm wondering if a major cancercian (although not sun) like myself... i wonder if i get some kind of special boost from this or closure...
moon sure looks purty in the sky

HI Erin, There is the nodal

HI Erin,

There is the nodal cycle of 19 years with the nodes transitting through a pair of signs every 1 1/2 years.

Another cycle, the metonic one, tracks the cycles of the lunar phases. In this system, from the new moon to the closing balsamic moon phase, there is a range of 2 1/2 years.

This is even more astronomy-geeky than I usually get and I must admit, I'm not even sure how it works.

Btw, there is a typo in the blog that states last summer. We are looking back to summer of 2007.

All that matters in the end, is to note that we started something new in the Cancer house in 2007 that is now clearly in view where we can see the "rewards" of the work we have put in to date.

My mentioning the cycles are just to reveal that we are in an ongoing process of evolution and that nothing happens in a vacuum. And likewise, that we can track our progress along the way.

Thanks as always for your input!

Sounds good - I'm digging all

Sounds good - I'm digging all this positive karma. How's this for coincidence - in school my jersey number was 21, birthday 7 - 7 (I'm still trying to figure out if something life altering happened on 7-7-07).....Physically speaking I have more energy every day - recouping from too much work, stressful personal endings, wreck, flu relapses....As I physically rebound I am realizing that my spiritual well being is rebounding also....I just may be becoming the humane whole that I am striving to be....

Thanks for this continuing enlightenment.
