Sunday Punditry: Rachel Maddow on "Meet The Press"
November 8th, 2009 | 1:14 pm
Rachel Maddow shares the table on Meet the Press with David Brooks, and E. J. Dionne discussing last night's passage of the health care bill in the House, the future of both political parties, and Afghanistan.
I doubt the Stupak-Pitts amendment will make it out of conference. Even if it does, Rachel is way off on Democratic women's response. They are not monolithic in their response to this issue. Very few will sit out the next election because of this amendment especially when you look at everything else the bill does for women.

Some progressive Dem should attach a counter amendment that cuts funding for Viagra. Or better yet, that doesn't pay for war. Those are my religious beliefs so my reps should honor them, right?
I'm with you Kelly. Abortion is legal in America, in all 50 states, so let's start acting like it--it is a health-related procedure and thus should be covered by any and all insurance plans.

I said that too, Kelly, about viagra.Yeah, that Stupak-Pitts pisses me off but doesn't mean that I start sitting out elections. I love to vote.
Civility is not a sign of weakness.
