I think it was when I knocked on my mother's womb and asked her to have some cowboy boots waiting for me when I was born.

I don't remember ever wanting the cow boots; we had Riders, which were square toed and plain brown functional. When I was 14, I bought myself the Dunham work boots that finally felt right.
