October Relationships

Question: I am a Libra who has been trying to cultivate a relationship with a Taurus who lives in another state. We meet sporadically and have an intense romantic time and then she’s gone and weeks pass before we even talk again. How do I make this more permanent?

Patrice: Wow, you’re a pretty serious girl with Sun/Pluto conjunction on the World Axis in the 12th House.  What kind of work do you do? You are in a big transitional time with Saturn coming to your Pluto and Sun (completing a cycle, even around the way you make money) and Pluto squaring your Sun.  This latter transit is a life changing one in which you are forced to deal with unequal power equations, even to the point of stepping up against social or cultural injustices.  

Of course, we often play out power issues in relationships but before I analyze your particular dynamics with Ms. Taurus, let’s see what is going on with her transit-wise.  Not surprisingly, she is also dealing with some fairly dramatic planetary energy.  Pluto opposed her Mars/Venus midpoint at 27 Gemini a couple of years ago possibly ending a serious relationship.  She now has Saturn coming to square that same degree which may recapitulate a story about not getting one’s needs met. Uranus will contact that same point sometime next year so she will definitely be up for an exciting new encounter then.

Remember she’s a Taurus with Mercury in Taurus and they move very slowly. The lack of communication can also be attributed to the Mercury because in Taurus, it tends to manifest very practically and in a taciturn manner.  It may be that since you are in different cities she does not see a real way that the relationship can go any farther than an affair. Yet, with Pluto trining her Venus in Taurus, there is an underlying energy of sexual desire and abandon which is trying to break through.

What is happening with her career? She has Pluto squaring her Acs/MC midpoint at 2 aries which would Correlate with some difficulties with a  boss or corporate setting. I think that when Uranus hits that point next June, she may be out of a job or home and
