Tila Tequila is quite the little gift-giver. After Tweeting recently about her engagement to kooky Casey Johnson, now she comes out with this proclamation:
"I am going to become a SURROGATE MOTHER for my brother and his Wife!!...That is my xmas present to them," she writes. "I'm pregnant!!!"
I hope I'm not on her Christmas list.

(or famous people) "announce" their surrogacy situation? ... look at what happened with Sarah Jessica Parker's surrogate. That lady was harrassed by paps for months!
But then this is Tila, so I suppose her goal in life is to be followed by paps ... in which case, this is a win-win all round
I'm not too familiar with her...
Perhaps she wanted to let people know before TMZ started making up lies. This way, she won't need to spend countless hours talking to asshole paparazzi who would strive to make her pregnancy appear to be some twisted event. It may be a wise preemptive strike.

I remember Tila
announced on her twitter a few weeks ago (paraphrasing) how she wanted to get pregnant, but it would be "with a twist" ..... This was obviously the "twist".
I hope it all works out for them, but her behavior is quite erratic ... her tweets alone, are a worry

I'm sure her brother thinks it's pretty generous. Just because she's a publicity whore doesn't mean she's not capable of genuine generosity. I don't know why you'd be cynical over the gift of surrogacy. There are a lot of easier ways to get attention than loaning out your uterus.

I still say it smacks of one-up-manship
in the world of publicity junkies. If you care about your brother, his spouse, and their coming child, why not let that child enter the world in pure love and quiet dignity? I have no qualms with surrogacy; having lost one child I understand the magnitude of giving one up. What I do have difficulty with is the idea of this child looking back in heer early teen years at the media mess that announced heer existence.

Carrying a human life for someone else... Nothing could be more selfless, or as you stated, generous.
