The Photoshop did it! After Boing Boing asked the question regarding Demi's hip back in November, the pop culture site snagged a copy of W magazine's South Korea edition with Demi's missing flesh!

So while Boing Boing solved that mystery, Demi Moore's lawyers weren't impressed. They came after Boing Boing over the weekend accusing them of "slander" and insist the image was not manipulated at all.
Boing Boing has printed the response from their lawyer which basically says Boing Boing is in the business of uncovering digital manipulation, and "If there is any party we feel is due criticism, it is not Moore, a beautiful 47-year-old who proves that age is no impediment to youth — but rather those who apparently feel that no-one is fit to be seen without some aspect of his or her appearance being 'worked.'"
Seriously, what fool thought that alteration was necessary?

I don't get why fashion magazine publishers think that we all want to see bony, emaciated women without smiles on their faces on their covers.
I just saw a tweet from the awesome Christina Applegate about this. She mentioned losing weight after the holidays and immediately followed with.
"Never base your ideal on what u see in magazines. Most of those girls are sick. And obviously don't love cheese. I love cheese its nice!"
lol How cool is that?
"Fight Prime Time. Read a Book"
I have a better question:
Why did they use that picture in the first place? She looks completely depressed and lifeless. And really, are we going to cover ever step of this trumped up legal proceeding?
Clean cup. Move down.

Holy fuck, I might get old! I MIGHT EVEN DIE ONE DAY! Oh my god!

Everyone look out for the next time I'm on the cover of W Magazine! A raging butch homo being transformed into a dainty-ass pageant winner. This will happen! Get excited about it
Wow
Even as small as the pictures show up on my laptop I can tell the left picture was dubbed. The hip simply isn't proportional to the rest of the leg, it's like they shaved off a chunk of her. Pretty sloppy editing, if you ask me.
I'm looking also at...
the "shading". Most know that black makes you look thinner. So does a tan. Look at the difference in her thighs. Also the chest. They gave her a sunkin-boney look.
I don't like this in our culture.
