MSNBC had a twenty minute segment on "Being Trans* in America," with special guests trans*-activist superstar and scholar, Kate Bornstein; Exec Director of the National Center for Transgender Equality, Mara Keisling; and Mel Wymore, a Dem candidate for NYC City Council.
The segment is kind of spectacular—kudos to MSNBC for raising trans* issues to a broader, national spotlight.

I like that this was a de-sensationalized treatment of the subject after all the sensationalism around Chaz Bono.
Best New Show
MHP is the best new show on TV and getting better every week. She really does seem to make an effort to address issues of all "others" with an attitude that says its OK to go there, even if you are not yet automatically comfortable with the topic or the language because that's how we grow.
