The Lindsay Lohan Saga Continues
Were Lindsay Lohan and Heath Ledger dating? In a recorded phone conversation, one of many released to the public by Michael Lohan (Linds' pa), Dina Lohan tells Lindsay's father that Linds was dating Heath Ledger before he died:
"And she was dating Heath when he died," Dina is heard saying. "I don't know if you know that, but I know cause I would drop her off and they were friends very, very close, ok?"
If this is true, I'm sure his death contributed to her downward spiral.
Dina says,"Because when she's drunk or takes an Adderall with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking,"
She added, "She cannot be alone. When she sleeps here, she sleeps with me... she has fears from being little and what you did to us."
"So that fucked her up And right after that is when Samantha was around."
Was Dina implying Samantha was there to help Lindsay get her shit together? Could that be why their relationship didn't last? Was Samantha taking on too much, trying to be Lindsay's savior?

You can only blame the parents until she became an adult... then it's time to clean up their mess and get yourself together. She should have severed ties with all of them years ago.

While I agree that ultimately we all have to take responsibility for our actions at some point, based on my own lived experience it usually takes many years to truly come to grips with how one has been parented--even if one has relatively good parents.

"At some point" is adulthood. Yes, it takes time to work through it all, but if you don't own up to your problems at adulthood then you're just a waste of alcohol. Heh. Your parents can eff you up, and that sucks, but it's your problem now. You have the power and the autonomy to say, "hey, this is bad for me. I'm not going to have it in my life anymore."

It might just be the best one yet, Julia. It was definitely the most consistently good--no huge peaks and valleys, steady pacing, smooth transitions (one of their biggest problems) from plot point to plot point.

What is up with Miley Cyrus' folks complaining about those 'too sexy' pics in a magazine when they put her out there in age inappropriate ways all the time? The couple of brief interviews I've seen with her make me think the girl is smart and seems to have her shit together but how long can that last?
Do you think it was Drew's folks who messed her up? I hadn't heard that version. Either way, at least she came through it okay and is now a formidable young woman.

I knew about the drugs, it was her parents involvement in that (or lack of involvement in her life) that I don't recall hearing anything about. Not that I've followed her story, just heard bits and pieces here and there.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dina & 'father' Lohan are in on this taping thing together. In their twisted minds, I'm sure they believe they are helping Lindsay (by exposing her) but really they're just pushing her away and causing a bigger lack of trust.
If by "dating" Heath, Dina means Heath & Linds were having sex - who knows? ... but by all accounts Heath was "dating" a number of people after his separation.
I also remember Lindsay & Sam already being together when he died.
Regarding Samantha - I think Dina was more implying that Linds only gravitated towards Samantha, because Michael was such an idiot when she was a child (& still is) ... I think both parents never approved of Lindsay being a lesbian, but thought this Sam 'thing' would pass quickly
