Gaga Premieres the Autobiographical "Marry the Night"

Tonight, on a E! exclusive, is the premiere of the 13 minute music video for Lady Gaga's new single, "Marry the Night," which, to be honest, is a faboosh song—but I think any song that champions "love" (yeah, go ahead, make fun) is a faboosh song.

"Love is the new denim or black." What a cliched, but powerful, lyric, no?

The video also marks Gaga's directorial debut. Gagaloo told E! that the video is autobiographical ("with an element of surrealism") and documents the day when she was an impatient at a clinic, which was also the day when she was dropped by her first record label.

Back to love: in this month's issue of Vanity Fair (of which she's on the cover) she claimed that love with men has never come easily or gone smoothly: “I have never felt truly cherished by a lover. I have an inability to know what happiness feels like with a man...."

Join the club, lady....

Without further ado, here's "Marry the Night":

...and, Jules, the "black

...and, Jules, the "black trans am" makes me think of Sixteen Candles: "a black guy?!?" "NO! a pink guy, a black trans am." oh, John Hughes!

I like this one better than the last couple. The actual music video part at least.

Me too. I was so eagerly

Me too. I was so eagerly anticipating the "You & I" video and was somewhat disappointed...this video, and this song, surprised me in a good way. .... perhaps it's because I've a choreography fetish, in which I stand in front of my computer and try to learn what I can = watch the video over and over again.... I wonder how this video will do....in the sense that "music video" are tending toward extinction, no?
