Crossdressing on the Runway: Casey Legler

Androgyny on the runway is nothing new; the fashion industry went all Twiggy in the mid-20th century and hasn't looked back. More recently, we've seen a handful of androgynous men become successful models of women's clothing lines—this made me wonder, in one of my Pop Theory columns, if fashion was ever really about women (or women's bodies) at all.
This also made me wonder if there were any cisgender females who were successful at modeling men's clothing, a curiousity that was partly sated at a birthday dinner party a month or so ago, when a quite well known queer fashion designer mentioned Casey Legler.
"Casey Legler?!," I responded with delight, "who's that?"
And, wouldn't you know, Casey is a model for men's clothing. High fashion. WERK. Coincidentally, I got to meet her recently at another birthday party a few weeks ago—and she is just lovely.
