The Clinton Global Initiative—the 21st Century's U.N.?

It wasn't until I saw a pic of Bill and Hillary at Bushwick's only (consistent, popular, super-hipster) restaurant, Roberta's, yesterday that I realized that the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) was well underway. 

I know liberals still have a chip on their shoulders from Clinton's welfare policies (and his wandering eye) in the 90s during his presidency, but, fuck it, I love them. I really-really love them. And I think the Clinton Global Initiative, which aims to try to work with big business instead of shunning them and pretending that big business doesn't exist (etc etc), is a pragmatic and viable way to work towards solving our big-global-problems in the 21st century.
