Funny, just last week Warren had compared us to Pizza and Pedophiles.
I'm still imagining Warren feeding the gay protesters of Prop 8 donuts and water. Water? Would it be too much to ask for coffee while we discuss polygamy, and what the Bible says? Food seems to be a big part of Warren's ministry. First the Gays are fed donuts then we are compared to his desire for Pizza. And another thing, while Warren says its a matter of maturity to hold off on gratification, don't you think he might want to take his own advice? Isn't gluttony one of the deadly sins?
What would you rather be compared to, food or destroying the rainforests? Can we try and wrap our minds around Pope Benedict XVI's recent proclamation to Vatican staff warning that:

Gotta say I see both sides of
Gotta say I see both sides of this. I didn't find your comment about Rachel demeaning, but some of your pictures and comments--yuck! They make me feel like I'm in the presence of a teenage boy, and yes, I do feel they sometimes go overboard in their objectification and veer into the demeaning. On the other hand I get how important 'sex-positivity' is to our community. Just keep in mind that if you're going to post such things in a public forum those with different tastes have the right to object without being called prudes or hypocrites.
(Also, there's a huge difference between watching porn privately versus posting sexual images and 'humor' in the public sphere.)

Part of the problem with having a high IQ is I visualize EVERYTHING, the more graphic, the clearer the picture. Kind of comes in handy most times, especially in the various things I do in life. Being a minister-without-a-pulpit (I usually did crisis and relationship counseling), I tend to just "pop in" at whatever Church is available. I was doing quite a bit of work that year in the Orange County area, and someone suggested I check Saddleback out. It was my one, and only, experience with a "mega-church." It takes me a few visits to determine what exactly their doctrine is.

Where else can we be open and have fun once in awhile, if we can't be that way around each other? Connecting, is a difficult task for a lot of women who are outside of the 'big cities'..... I've had so many girls e-mail and tell me that the laughter, or maybe just a silly picture, helped them to not feel so alone. For just one moment, can you imagine being that girl...Alone, afraid, no one to laugh or joke with, feeling as though you are a freak... the only lesbian in a small town of 400 people. Can you imagine, Rover? I can......
Rover, some women have no one to understand their desires, they have the need to be open and out, but it's just not an option for them. If some women smile, or even laugh out loud because of a picture or a goofy thing that I say, and if one girl feels a little 'less alone' in this huge, homophobic world.....then I feel awesome, and will not apologize to anyone. I've felt alone in my life, I know how it can hurt.
