Ben Stiller Not So Funny After All
I chuckled over Ben Stiller's impersonation of Joaquin Phoenix last Sunday during the Academy Awards. Turns out he copied director Frank Coraci who came up with the impersonation for the Independent Spirit Awards the night before. Coraci, and a faux Christian Bale appearing as Batman, seemed a helluva lot funnier than Stiller and Portman doing it sloppy seconds.
For those of you who haven't kept up with your viral video, Bale had a super Blagojevich-type freak-out, on the set of the Terminator. So, while I was searching for the link, I came across Bale's first movie Empire of the Sun. I think he was like 12 years old in it. What caught my eye was Ben Stiller, also in this clip. I'm not sure of the rhyme or reason of this pairing but I thought it had some strange cosmic resonance. Maybe someone else can explain it.

I'm speechless over that youtube video you linked to of Christian Bale yelling at someone who walked into the scene. Did you see it has more than 12,000 comments?
Still searching for the right brainy quote.
