As a self-described NPR lover, this clip from the latest "This American Life" live radio show pretty much sums it up for me. Dorky-mcdorkerson-say-wha?

weird
I went to the show as a die-hard TAL lover...and while there was a lot in it to love, a lot I didn't love too...really mixed experience, except that TAL is like family to me after all these years and even just being in a room with all the fans was a blast...BUT I thought Tig was the BEST parts...absolutely unbelievably hysterical and brilliant...the dance performance amazing, Sedaris incredibly funny as usual, and Ira, the consummate, charismatic and personable host.
But a lot of the rest of it, not so much. Including this annoying over-done li'l film. It's funny, it felt irritating in that overdone satire way EXACTLY like Portlandia so I guess i know what doesn't work for me lol. Nonetheless, the great parts of the show were super-great and I loved supporting it. and I love that they take chances that work and don't work both.
OMG. Terry Gross robber
OMG. Terry Gross robber extraordinaire!
I NEED to see this Live Show -- not to mention that Tig's in it!
