According to Dan Savage, "Gay Culture" is all about "the S.E.X."

Dan Savage appeared on "UP with Chris Hayes" yesterday, and he and Hayes discussed the blending of gay and straight cultures in recent years, in light of the two new DOMA cases set to taken up by the Supreme Court in the New Year.

I was a bit miffed by Savage when he said that gay culture is all about the sex, all about living a hedonistic lifestyle in cramped urban spaces. Isn't gay lifestyle, especially in accordance with David Halperin's brilliant How to Be Gay, more than just sex? Or maybe it's just my "conservative lesbianism" talking?
