If that title seems a bit much, it’s because our subject matter is a bit much.
I want you to understand the difference between living and dying. I want you to understand the effects of standing, walking backwards, and flying.
I’ve been traveling quite a bit lately and, despite the fact that traveling has actually made me appreciate every day’s splendor in its entirety, it’s also affirmed for me the fact that we are so very very small.
I don’t mean small in the sense of size. I get it. We’ve got more than Halle Berrys in the bunch.
But I do mean that there is so much more to life than us and our silly heaux tendencies.
What is the point?
There’s a thing that you’re waiting on, right? There’s a thing that you want or think you want or don’t know that you don’t want- a thing that haunts you. Sometimes it visits you in your dreams, sometimes while wide awake – it wants you as much as you want it.
Go get it. Take flight.
A couple of definitions for flight could make sense here:
-- The motion of an object in or through a medium, especially through the earth's atmosphere or through space.
-- The act or process of flying through the air by means of wings.
But we’re focusing on these final three:
-- A swift passage or movement.
Because we love love and relationships around here, we’ll pretend like the previously mentioned desirable “thing” is a woman.
So a woman walks into your head … and your heart … and what now?
Go get her. Why? Because at your core, you have and will always know what you want. You have made no mistakes.
Sure, you’ve done some stupid sh*t. Sure, your last 3-5 relationships seem to be comprised of the same consistently inconsistent bullshit. So what? Are you dead? No, because you’re reading this.
Mistakes don’t kill you. Mistakes teach you.
And since you haven’t made any mistakes, you don’t have to worry about any of that.
You’ve simply chosen experiences that taught lessons. Some lessons hurt more than others. Some lessons were more difficult. You may still be experiencing some backlash and personal blame. The pain is keeping you still. The blame is forcing you backwards. Cut it out.
You must move forward. Peace can’t exist while dwelling in a place
