Batwoman Returns as a Lesbian
What do you get when you mix a lesbian socialite who has the eagerness to server the greater good? A lesbian super hero.
During the New York Comic Con, Greg Rucka and J.H. Williams III announced to the attendees this summer DC Comics will feature it first lesbian superhero named Kate Kane.
Both Rucka and Williams haves been working on the comic for the past two years which is due to be release in June having Batwoman returning to the DC's superhero crew.
This all took me for a loop because, with my comic book obsession, I knew that there had been a Batwoman comic book created before. Batwoman first appeared in 1957 and was later killed off in 1979.
This whole project leads into murky water because DC Comics' in the past confirmed the series and then later denied it. From the various articles that I have read, Kane's sexual orientation has nothing to do with the various delays.

Yeah, I've always liked those colors. The costume itself should be fairly easy to make, it's the accessories that won't be quite so easy. Hence why I'm thinking about it now, lol. I may have to be a bit creative with that part, especially the head-dress.

It's a really great series, but the way this one was done you kind of have to start at the beginning to get what's going on, or at least catch the recaps before diving in. It has very little in common with the original 1970's version.

Yep, The Crystal Singer series was one of many. Dragonriders of Pern, Powers That Be, The Rowan, Acorna, every time I pick up one of her books, I can't put it down until I'm finished, and then I search like crazy for the sequels, lol. I love writers who can paint pictures in my mind with their words!
Rumors persist that either The Rowan or Dragonriders will be made into a SciFi series, but they seem to be just rumors.
