Hey Deean - I wondered if you would jump off the OC ship?! Only the mast is still visible!
So - we agree on something! MIA ...
I was watching some obscure movie on Rialto the other night and there was Mia playing a stripper! The film kind of sucked, but Mia was captivating as usual. I'm surprised she isn't more well known and talked about (in 'pop culture' terms).
So there are now two people in the Jenny club ... anyone like to join us!?

It's the last 8 episodes...... I want them all naked and frolicking in the West Hollywood sunshine. What's a good lesbian drama without naked bodies strewn about. Is that too much to ask for ? I think not.

I think I'm the only person who LOVES Jenny!!! I love that character! ... and I could watch Mia act all day ...
Maybe Kate M would like Shane to go out with a bang ... Something dramatic, so that she can move on and not be asked for the rest of her acting life (by lesbians) when will she be playing Shane again?! LOL

Actually, I saw it at OC a while back. It has also been of the front page of Showtime and i think at AfterEllen. But hey, there's not much to it, anyway.
I am glad to see that Shane seems to still be alive, since they say this happens in the first 2 minutes and someone woke up to find the person dead. Since it shows Shane on the couch alive... Then again, that could be someone recounting events from earlier in the evening. Plus, the person was found in the pool. Both Shane and Bette have a propensity for water when they are feeling self destructive. I can't see Jenny taking herself out that way on purpose. Its seems a little too calm for her; not enough drama. OK, I'm rambling. Time to let it go.
I've cheated and looked at a lot of the spoilers. No, I won't tell any of them. I think we may just see some real lesbian life this season. It trully isn't all about sex, although sex is the best part! Lucy Lawless an interesting introduction.
Well, I did say that if they didn't let Shane grow up she was going to end up dead. I know, if it actually happens that way, I'll be looking for a new web address.
Looks exciting but please don't let there be a Shenny. I can't stand Jenny! And please don't let it be Shane that is killed off! I've been hooked on TLW since S2 and own all 5 seasons on DVD. TLW has helped me come out to very close friends and my sister. I can't say enough about how much I appreciate what this show has done for my lesbian community. It's so much fun to watch at T's in Andersonville neighborhood (Chicago). I've never seen so many lesbians in one bar!!!!! Yummy!!!!! It's like watching the super bowl!

Today I received my annual Christmas letter from Comcast Cable, which always means they have increased prices.
This time, they've made their pricing for their services more complicated, so at first I couldn't tell if I can save money with their choices or will have to pay more.
If I'm figuring this out correctly, I will pay an extra $1 or so starting in January 2009. I hope TLW is worth it, hah.
At this point, I don't really care if the last season of TLW is good or bad, as long as it gives me fodder for commentary. The worst it could be for me is boring.
I agree. I was going to skip s6 just because I expected more bad treatment of TiBette. Word is, or L word is that they will be fine.
As for all the request etc, I think the economy collapse, and maybe Showtimes poor treatment of their money maker changed things. Maybe IC just did the best she could and took it on the chin with the rest of us. No one seems to be talking about the OC bail out - or I missed it. I've been up to my eyeballs in stuff and just haven't followed up.
Since it is the last season and I'm pretty sure TiBette is ok (sorry I just can't (won't) endure anymore TiBette rape). I plan to sit back and just say goodbye to a lot of characters(and great people who played them) I like and will miss.
It is like watching the last game of the season with no pressure and just good friends and fun. Loved it hated it - will miss it.
I glad Grace and friends are still a blog away. So ALL is not lost.

Yikes! At least from the sound of it, it's not Angie in the pool...I've been wondering about that for quite awhile given her age and the lack of any precautions to keep her from wandering and well...
The L Word is the L Word. I'm not as negative as some because there are story lines that I relate to AND, FGS, it's a TV show. Sometimes I roll my eyes and WTF? at the writing, yet I'm SO glad it has entertained me for 5 years. It's about lezzies and that's major. The global community that has sprung up around it is fabulous. Just like any close friend of mine, I look at it as a combination of lovely, fun and surprising characteristics right alongside the aggravating, annoying, etc. If we didn't extend our loving acceptance of that combination, where would we be?

Thanks to the power of the interwebs, I stumbled onto a colossal spoiler for S6 having to do with why Lucy Lawless' character shows up when she does. It filled me with morbid glee.

"L-word bed death." lol Good one Tex. I totally know what you mean, but you know there's always at least one or two awesome Bette/Tina love scenes, thanks to the actors.
I just hope it gets good reviews, that would be great for the future of lesbian television shows.
Are you 'moonlighting' over on Vp from the Other Cite now? As far as TLW - they're gonna have to give me some more spoilers with some hot sex, cleavage, and new hot women to get me back in the mood. Right now, I think I'm experiencing TLW bed death - or is that death bed?
Howdy BTFan, well I don't feel as bitter towards the show as some. The cast is great and Ilene does well with characterization and suspense, but yes the storylines are often implausible and the plot danglers are annoying. Still it's a tv soap.
I'm a little confused though. Didn't Showtime and Ilene make a huge deal out of asking the viewers how they want the final season to play out? I don't remember anyone saying they wanted a murder mystery or that one of the characters should die (and I was reading those comments. I'm not judging anything until I see it, however, because that's like judging a book before you've read it. I'm keeping an open mind and I'm looking forward to some fun.
Ha, I was wondering about which role Lucy Lawless will have on The Lword. The co-host in Alice's Show? Bette's next lover? An art teacher on Phyllis Uni? The gangsta bride in leather from the last season preview? Now its already recognized, she is the detective!
But I wonder if she might have some storyline together with Tina..
Well TLW has been a love hate thing for me since s2. I get pissed at the poor or non-existent story. The never ending WTF's and of course the TiBette rape.
So here we go again. I have NO expectations were this series is concerned except hearing endless Fucks(I love it), watching HOT HOT women(love that too) and noting the very slight resemblence to my world contained within.
There never has been a story that makes sense, way to many characters and now there is no need to even try - it's the end.
It's like watching the last game of your hometown team's season which is in last place - sigh. Shit, you go outa habit and to just enjoy the friends and food. That's not such a bad thing....

You know, there's been a lot of talk on the boards about how bad this season of the L-word might be, but I'm not sure why because from what I've seen it looks like it could really be a lot of fun.
